Ayr United Walking Football Tournament 2024

AUFA, in partnership with Shoot Soccer, hosted their annual Walking Football tournament at Shoot Soccer on Sunday 21st July.

Over 50s section – we had 8 teams participating in a very competitive competition. 2 groups of 4 fought it out for a place in the finals (Cup and Consolation). In the end the Cup Final was played out between the 2 group winners. A very strong Giffnock team won the final 3-1 against a very good Pollock side.

Over 65s section – we had 6 teams play a league format in this competition, playing each team once. A very strong Ayr Utd team ran away with the league with a perfect performance – 5 wins and no goals conceded!

Would like to say a massive thanks to Rachel and the Shoot Soccer team for their sponsorship of the event, and all their assistance and help in setting up and running the day.
Also, big thanks to Gary McLaughlin, John Logan, Brian Connelly and John Sargent for their refereeing efforts.
